Information for Nominating Officers

 

For the Executive Leadership Team (ELT) 2004 Elections, the current executive team and election committee would like to invite all interested members to send in nominations for candidacy for the following positions:

 

President   -

The duties of the President shall be to preside at meetings, call special meetings, appoint such committees not provided for in the constitution, and, jointly with the Secretary and the Treasurer, sign all written contracts and other obligations of the organization.

Vice President -

The Vice-President shall assume the duties and responsibilities assigned to the President in his or her absence.

Secretary -

The Secretary shall keep the minutes of all meetings, handle all correspondence, and jointly with designated members of the executive leadership team (E.L.T.), sign all written contracts and other obligations of the organization.  The Secretary assumes the role of President in the absence of both the President and the Vice-President.

Assistant Secretary -

The Assistant Secretary shall assist and assume the duties of the Secretary in his or her absence.

Treasurer -

The Treasurer shall handle all monies, and jointly with the President, Secretary, or designated parties sign all written contracts.

Assistant Treasurer -

The Assistant Treasurer shall assist and assume the duties of the Treasurer in his or her absence.

Parliamentarian -

The Parliamentarian shall insure orderly transaction of business in accordance with the Constitution, Bylaws, and the NABGG adapted version of Roberts's Rules of Order.

Executive Leadership Team

(E.L.T.)

The President, Vice-President, Secretary, Assistant Secretary, Treasurer, Assistant Treasurer, Parliamentarian, the Chairperson of each standing committee, and the last available past President shall constitute the E.L.T.

 

All interested candidates must send in a short one-paragraph description of their reasons for wanting the position along with a recent photo.  If you email your form, please send it to election@nabgg.com by Monday, August 30.  If you mail in your form, please have it postdated by Friday, August 27.   The short paragraph and picture will be uploaded on the NABGG website.    All other communications regarding this subject should be addressed to Elizabeth Watkins at nabgg_us@hotmail.com. 

 

The ELT would like to invite all financial members to visit the website, read, and vote for those members that they would like to see occupy the positions.   This approach will allow those members not able to make the September meeting to still let their voices be heard.  The voting period is from Wednesday, September 1 through Friday September 11, 2004.  Any regularly mailed ballots should be posted no later than Tuesday, September 7, 2004.
