    Election  Candidacy   Ballot

All interested candidates must send in a short one-paragraph description of their reasons for wanting the position along with a recent photo.  If you email your form, please send it to nabgg_us@hotmail.com by Sunday, September 7 at 5pm (CST)..   The short paragraph  will be submitted within the candidacy form on the NABGG website  The photo should be submitted by clicking the link on the confirmation  email you will receive after nominating your candidate.    All other communications regarding this subject should be addressed to Aisha Ragas at nabgg_us@hotmail.com

 

The ELT would like to invite all financial members to visit the website, read, and vote for those members that they would like to see occupy the positions.   This approach will allow those members not able to make the September meeting to still let their voices be heard.  The voting period is from Wednesday, September 10th  to Wednesday, September 17th.  Any regularly mailed ballots should be posted no later than Monday, September 15th..

 

For the Executive Leadership Team (ELT) 2008 Elections, the current executive team and election committee would like to invite all interested members to send in nominations for candidacy for the following positions:

 

President

The duties of the President shall be to preside at meetings, call special meetings, appoint such committees not provided for in the constitution, and, jointly with the Secretary and the Treasurer, sign all written contracts and other obligations of the organization.

 

Vice President

The Vice-President shall assume the duties and responsibilities assigned to the President in his or her absence.

 

Secretary

The Secretary shall keep the minutes of all meetings, handle all correspondence, and jointly with designated members of the executive leadership team (E.L.T.), sign all written contracts and other obligations of the organization.  The Secretary assumes the role of President in the absence of both the President and the Vice-President.

 

Assistant Secretary

The Assistant Secretary shall assist and assume the duties of the Secretary in his or her absence.

 

Treasurer

The Treasurer shall handle all monies, and jointly with the President, Secretary, or designated parties sign all written contracts.

 

Assistant Treasurer

The Assistant Treasurer shall assist and assume the duties of the Treasurer in his or her absence.

 

Parliamentarian

The Parliamentarian shall insure orderly transaction of business in accordance with the Constitution, Bylaws, and the NABGG adapted version of Roberts's Rules of Order.

 

Executive Leadership Team  (E.L.T.)

The President, Vice-President, Secretary, Assistant Secretary, Treasurer, Assistant Treasurer, Parliamentarian, Member-at-Large, the Chairperson of each standing committee, and the last available past President shall constitute the E.L.T.

 

Member At Large (2)

The Member at Large sits on the ELT and has  an active role in representing the interests of the membership and advocating on all member-related issues pertaining to the organization.
